FAQ
We connect people through rhythm
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][vc_column_text]What is a facilitated Drum Circle?
Very simply, a facilitated Drum Circle is a group of people playing drums and other percussion instruments while sitting in a circle, with the support of a facilitator. It is a rhythmic event that strengthens individuals and community as they enjoy creating music on the spot, with the common goal of playing and conversing in harmony with one another.
What is a Drum Circle facilitator?
The facilitator is the person who leads participants through the experience of playing together in the Drum Circle. His job is to make sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable, while encouraging them to freely create music in harmony with the circle and each of the participants, so that they can express their full rhythmic-musical potential in a relaxed and joyful environment. Although many facilitators are also music teachers, in the context of the Drum Circle you will find that its role is more to make it easier to express group dialogue and ‘harmony than to transmit musical techniques for their own sake.
What are the benefits of the Drum Circle?
Many studies show that the recreational music that occurs in the Drum Circle can decrease stress, increase immune responses, release endorphins, aid memory and mental clarity, as well as break down relational barriers. You can find more information in the “benefits” area of the website, or request information regarding the type of population you are interested in by emailing info@drumcirclespirit.it
Where can a Drum Circle happen?
The event can happen anywhere. From a lawn in a park to a conference room to any kind of room in which loud music can be played, and where people can sit in circles or concentric circles. Tools are provided by the facilitator. When can a Drum Circle happen? Any time of the day you need to bring a burst of energy! Different types of populations may need to enjoy the Drum Circle at specific times-we will be happy to help you decide which time is best for your group of participants to choose.
We encourage you to plan as far in advance as possible for your event with Drum Circle Spirit so that we can create the best possible outcome in harmony with your goals.
Who can participate?
Everyone! A Drum Circle can be experienced and enjoyed by anyone: adults, seniors, children, employees, managers, people with health difficulties or differently abled people, family members who are going through a period of hardship, bereavement, loss.
How long does a Drum Circle last?
Usually from about an hour and 15 to an hour and 40 for most people, and still always within the energy curve expressed by the group of participants, so that everyone can have a consistently satisfying and never exhausting experience. In special events, time can be reduced or extended depending on the needs and goals of the group.
How many sessions should I book?
At least one! And, depending on your goals, we can recommend the optimal number to get the most satisfaction, for you and your community.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the type of event, whether recreational or educational, the type of population, the number of participants, the objectives to be accomplished, the location and its distance from our venue.
