He is internationally known as an expert group facilitator as well as motivational trainer.
In 1980 he founded Village Music Circles™ and as a teacher he has trained more than 7,000 students at the University of California, Santa Cruz, while facilitating experiential team building and leadership-building events in support of numerous international organizations.
Bringing the experiences of Village Music Circles™ to communities and organizations around the world, from U.S. to Asia to Europe, for more than 40 years Arthur has inspired the emergence of a movement of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds that use rhythm as a bridge to enhance social interaction.
His pioneering work in rhythm facilitation has touched the lives of thousands of people around the world, giving rise to the new and growing profession of the Community Drum Circle Facilitator.
He has taught how to facilitate rhythmical events to more than 14,000 people in 34 countries.
A talented percussionist and charismatic facilitator, Arthur motivates people of all ages and nationalities to go beyond their cultural barriers and inspire them to fully engage in the well-being of the community in which they live.
With the mission of making the joy and impact of rhythm accessible to all at heart, Arthur still brings his events to communities, ranging from multinational corporate directors to at-risk teens.
He has written four books on Drum Circle facilitation and rhythm games.
In 2017 he created Village Music Circles Global, an international team of Certified Trainers who transmit his method worldwide, of which Harshil Filippo Chiostri is Certified Trainer for Italy.
